Mahon Menorca

Mahon the capital of the island of Menorca, is well situated and an ideal base to explore the countryside and beautiful coast of this fabulous island. Situated on Menorca's east coast and easily accessible from the airport which is only around three miles away, so transfer times to your accommodation are short. The town is perched on top of cliffs looking over a lovely bay which has been a natural harbour for Mahons fishing boats for generations. The town is also surrounded by superb countryside and farm land.

The old town of Mahon is full of character with narrow alleyways, small quiet squares and houses of architectural interest. Many holiday visitors head for the charming harbour area which is home to a variety of restaurants, cafes and small local bars, a nice place to unwind in the evening after a hard days relaxation under the Menorcan sun.

Mahon Nightlife

Nightlife is fairly laid back, with a relaxed atmosphere and tends to be centered again on the harbour area around the small cafes and bars. If you are feeling livelier there are a couple of discos if you want to dance the night away.

Mahon is a great place to unwind and totally relax, and is suitable for those wanting a fairly quiet holiday like most of Menorca's resorts, unlike the hustle and bustle and neon lights of the nearby island of Majorca.
